NASA/GSFC has a requirement for one Near Infrared Photo Multiplier Tube (PMT) with the following specifications:
-High quantum efficiency (18%) at 1550nm
-High reliability ~ 10,000 hours
-High gain 1Eg
-Low Dark current of 40 nA
-Fast rise time of 0.9ns
NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Hamamatsu Corporation.
This authority is FAR 13.106 (b)(1) only one source reasonably available.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
The DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing via email, fax or mail to Rogenia Burton-Pendergast/Code 210.M at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, MD 20771 to the identified point of no later than: contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 01/09/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
Technical questions should be submitted in writing via email no later than 01/06/2009.
