NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the following Commercial item/services: Land Mobile Radio Maintenance
The Land Mobile Radio (LMR) System is used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) at Wallops Flight Facility(WFF) to support emergency preparedness communications requirements in addition to routine day-to-day mission, logistics, safety, security, environmental, mechanical, information services, facilities and communications needs. The WFF LMR system is a M/A-Com/ Tyco-Electronics trunked, narrow band VHF, multi-site Enhanced Digital Access Communication System (EDACS). The WFF LMR system consist of an integrated multi-site controller ( IMC), communication system director (CSD) server, CSD workstation, three – C3 maestro dispatch consoles, Nice Call Focus logging recorder, and two – 5 channel sites (multi-site) MASTR III trunking stations. The system infrastructure does not include end user radios such as: handhelds/portable, mobiles, and desktop radios.
- Provider must be a certified M/A-Com/Tyco-Electronics Authorized service provider for a multi-site trunked enhanced digital access communication system. Proof of certification shall be provided within the proposal package.
- Available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year.
- 2 hour response time to LMR problems – this means on-site within 2 hours.
- Monitor WFF LMR alarms remotely.
The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 811211 and $5M, respectively.
The anticipated release date of RFP NNG09275220Q is on or about December 22, 2008 with an anticipated quotation due date of on or about January 12, 2009.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
