NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following:
1) Sidecar ASIC Development Kit – Room Temperature; Item 1 includes: Sidecar ASIC Development Board (includes ASIC in LGA ceramic package), room-temperature use only, JADE2 Card, USB 2.0 Cable, CD with Software and Documentation, Sidecar ASIC Integrated Development Environment (IDE) IDL Acquisition and Analysis Software, Sample Assembly Codes; QTY: 2.
2) Materials: Firmware, Technical Data, Sidecar ASIC Technical and Development Kit Start Up Manuals, and Sidecar ASIC and Kit Test Reports; QTY: 1.
NASA/GSFC intends to purchase these items from Teledyne Scientific & Imaging, LLC.
The authority is FAR 13.106(b)(1) only one source reasonably available.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.

Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
