NASA/GSFC has a requirement for One interactive kiosk displaying near-real-time Earth Science data. Kiosk will be delivered as a complete, ready to use, plug and play system. Includes the kiosk, a display monitor, touch monitor, additional storage for the data base, and custom software for the near-real-time display and the interactive capabilities. The kiosk will require an electrical outlet and a high speed internet connection to operate. The Earth Today software is proprietary and is not to be copied, reto-engineered, or given away. Maintenance and updates Through December 2009.
NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from ANIMATED EARTH, pursant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only one source.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 09,22,2008 Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
