Description
 
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for 1 Xenon 24TB Storage System which includes the following: - Dual AMD DualCore Processors - Dual 10/100/1000 Copper Gigabit Ethernet - Hardware RAID controllers - 2 GB Registered ECC DDR Memory standard, expandable up to 16GB - 24 Hot Swappable Serial 1TB SATA Disk Drives (24TB total or 2 arrays 12TB ea) - Built-In Dual Channel Ultra 320 SCSI Controller for external scalability - Cold Swap 80GB System Drive - AJA OEM PCIX Board and Breakout Box

1 Three Year Standard Depot Warranty Parts and on-site hardware replacement service

1 Spare Array Drive

1 Additional AJA OEM PCIX K3 BOard and Breakout Box(Stereo)

NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from SpectSoft, LLC in Oakdale, California. SpectSoft is the manufacturer of the "Rave HD Complete Xenon with 24TB of Storage" and therefore is only available from SpectSoft, LLC.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 9, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
