ANDREY IVANOVICH BORISENKO
TEST COSMONAUT OF R.S.C. Energia

PERSONAL DATA: Born April 17, 1964, in Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia.

EDUCATION: Graduated from the Leningrad military mechanical institute in 1987.

EXPERIENCE: In 1987 – 1989 he worked for the Navy. Started working at RSC Energia in 1989. Borisenko was a shift flight director at the MCC-M (last shift of June 15, 2003).

SPACE FLIGHT TRAINING: Borisenko received medical clearance from the Chief Medical Commission for space flight training on September 12, 2002. In January 2003 he successfully passed technical exams at RSC-E. RSC-E recommended him for crew selection. He was selected as a cosmonaut candidate from RSC Energia on May 29, 2003. Borisenko started basic training on June 16, 2003, and completed it on June 27, 2005 by passing the state exams with excellent grades. He received qualification of test-cosmonaut on July 5, 2005 from the Interdepartmental Qualification Commission.
