Exploration Ground Launch Services (EGLS) Industry Day
An Exploration Ground Launch Services (EGLS) Industry Day is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Industry Day will be held in the Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s Complex, Debus Conference Facility beginning at 9:00 am.
The purpose of Industry Day is to:
1. Promote competition by providing industry a better understanding of the upcoming procurement.
2. Provide industry a networking opportunity to build teaming arrangements.
3. Provide an early opportunity for the Government to introduce preliminary aspects of the procurement and improve the acquisition strategy based on valuable industry feedback.
A question and answer period will follow the Industry Day presentation. Oral questions may be answered but answers provided will be preliminary and not considered binding to the Government. The length of the presentation and question and answer period is estimated to be 2 hours.
To facilitate open communications with industry, interested parties are invited to meet individually with Procurement Development Team (PDT) members to ask questions and become more familiar with procurement requirements. Interested parties are limited to a 30 minute One-on-One meeting with a maximum of five attendees per company. Interested parties must request a One-on-One meeting and will be notified of their scheduled time prior to Industry Day.
Industry Day attendance is limited to five attendees per company. Each company should submit to the Contracting Officer a completed Attendance Form. Interested parties should clearly identify any request for a One-on-One meeting on the Attendance Form.
Industry Day briefing charts, questions and answers, and the list of attendees will be promptly posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS). All companies represented will be placed on the Interested Parties List that will be publicly available.
Attendance Forms should be submitted no later than three working days prior to the conference to the Contracting Officer, Tammy S. Burlein, at the e-mail address of Tammy.S.Burlein@nasa.gov.
