The NASA Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) has chartered a study team to determine if NASA instrument developers are facing challenges that impact the capability to design and build quality science instruments. The Study team has collected data to analyze the instrument capability and is seeking industry feedback on the preliminary findings of the study. The Study team will present preliminary findings during an Industry Workshop to be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the University of Maryland Conference Center in College Park, MD. The workshop is open to aerospace industry, government laboratory, and university representatives involved in science instrument development. Space is limited to 100 participants and registration will be on a first come first serve basis with a maximum of 2 representatives per organization so as to maximize broad industry participation.
