Description
 
NASA/LaRC has a requirement for Amorphous Silicon X-Ray Detector that meets the following specifications:

-Active Pixel Area at Least 29.1 x 40.5 cm (11.5 in. x 16.0 in) -In the central (6" X 9") input area there will be no uncorrectable clusters. In the peripheral input area there will be a maximum of six (6) uncorrectable clusters. None of the uncorrectable clusters will exceed a size of 3 x 3 pixels, or better -At Least 2,304 (h) by 3,200 (v) Active Pixels -Pixel Pitch no greater than 127 ยต -Limiting Resolution at least 3.94 lp/mm -DQE greater then 30% -MTF, X-Ray greater than 45% at 1 lp/mm -Energy Range at least 40 - 150 kVp -Fill Factor at least 57% -Contrast Ratio over 12cm less than 2% -Contrast Ratio over 1cm less than 10% -At least 14 bit A/D Conversion -Maximum Frame Rate greater than or equal to 1 fps for full imager -Data Output shall be Gigabit Ethernet -cables to be 50 feet in length

The X-Ray detector is replacing an existing Hytec X-Ray Detector and must be compatible with the existing Hytec FlashCT system installed as NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC). For the new X-Ray Detector to be compatible, a software upgrade to the existing FlashCT(TM)-DAQ software will be required. This acquisition also includes warranty and maintenance and technical support on both the software and hardware for 1 year.

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.

Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than 4 June 2008. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
