Description

 

NASA/KSC has a requirement for components, software, license and installation of upgrade items to the Video Capture and Editing Systems at the NASA Multimedia Studio to increase user work space and data storage capacity. This upgrade will provide: Facilis Terrablock 36TB 24D 4GB 2-user system, Matrox Axio LE Turnkey Adobe System, and Upgrade 2 existing Axio systems to Axio LE. Procurement to include 12 months hardware support and license. NASA/KSC intends to purchase this upgrade from Profile East (PEI Graphic Technology), as the .(QSI), as the sole distributor of the required hardware and software that support and are compatible with the Studio Video Capture Editing System and other existing equipment at NASA’s Multimedia Studio. PEI is a small business. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. local time on 05 Jan 09. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
