NASA/KSC has a requirement for Industrial Automation Equipment for Ground Systems Command and Control in support of the Space Shuttle and Constellation Programs. This requirement includes Isolated Input/Output Modules, Analog Input/Output Modules, Sensor Vibration and HP Powerflex.
NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items on a sole-source basis from Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley, due to the necessity for compatibility in NASAs Ground Systems Command and Control Architecture, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.
The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications (Maximum 2 Pages) to perform the effort in writing to Jessica Paglialonga via e-mail or fax not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 23, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
