NASA/KSC has a requirement for part numbers 79K03438S3N30 (Qty 2), 79K03438S1N12(Qty 5), 79K03438S2N12 (Qty 5), 79K03438U2N8(Qty 1), 79K03438U1N08 (Qty 1), 79K03438S3N14 (Qty 4), 79K03438A3N13 (Qty 2), and 79K03438S3N21 (Qty 4).
NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Taber Industries. Taber Industries is the approved source for these pressure transducers as found in section 6.1.2 of drawing 79K03438. Taber Industries has been qualified by NASA per this specification. Taber Industries is the owner and sole seller of the 79K03438 pressure transducers for the specified pressure ranges per section 6.1.2 of the drawing. There are no other resellers from which the Federal Government may acquire these items.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to jessica.r.paglialonga@nasa.gov not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday, July 17, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
