NASA/KSC has a requirement for (1) MarSurf XR20 Surface Base System, (1 ea); (2) Installation and Training (1 lot); (3) PGN-3 Geometric Standard with Certificate (1 ea); (4) CT120 Cross Table (1 ea); (5) Amplifier Millimar C1245 F (1 ea); (6) Head, Lever Type Gage (4 ea); (7) Height Stand, PN 2400 (2 ea).
NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Mahr Federal, Inc., 1144 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02905. Contracting without full and open competition is permitted pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and/or other authority, e.g. 40 U.S.C., because the services and/or products are available from only one source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 01/03/08. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice.
All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
