Using Plunkett Research Online with Blackboard:
- Check with your school’s library to see if your school already has a campus-wide subscription to our Plunkett Research Online service.
A. If your school has a subscription to Plunkett Research Online:
- Users who are logged into your school’s Blackboard server should be able to access Plunkett Research Online even when they are off campus.
- To take advantage of this service, instructors are encouraged to place a link to Plunkett Research Online within their Blackboard course spaces.
- There are two methods for accomplishing this:
1. Place a link on your course menu (navigation bar) in Blackboard
- Go to your control panel
- Click on “manage course menu” under “course options”
- Click on the “external link” icon in the top menu bar
- Type in “Plunkett Research Online” for the area name
- Type in “http://www.plunkettresearchonline.com” for the target
- Check the box next to “launch in new window”
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “submit”
2. Place a link within one of your course content areas in Blackboard
- Go to your control panel
- Click on one of the links under “content areas”, such as “course documents”.
- Click on the “URL” icon in the top menu bar to add an external link
- Type in “Plunkett Research Online” for name
- Type in “http://www.plunkettresearchonline.com” for the URL
- Select “yes” next to “Launch Item in external window”
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “submit”
B. If your school does not have a subscription to Plunkett Research Online:
- First, select from the list of industries that Plunkett Research covers.
