NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following:

1) Qty: 2 Description: Normal Inverted Mode Operation (NIMO) Blue Grade O/enhanced process. broadband AR or equivalent.

2) Qty: 2 Description: Normal Inverted Mode Operation (NIMO) Blue Grade 1/ enhanced process, broadband AR coating or equivalent.

3) Qty: 2 Description: Normal Inverted Mode Operation (NIMO) Red Grade O/ basic process, midband AR coating or equivalent.

4) Qty: 2 Description: Normal Inverted Mode Operation (NIMO) Red Grade 1/ basic process, midband AR coating or equivalent.

With the following minimum salient characteristics: 1) Designed for backside illumination. 2) Ceramic Package with standard 2.54mm (0.100") pin to pin spacing and 15.24mm (0.600") row to ro pin spacing. 3) Package Window: Removable glass 4) Pixel size: square pixels, 24 um X 24um minimum to 26um X 26um maximum. 5) Well volume: 500,000 e-/ pixel typical, 400,00e- minimum. 6) Charge transfer efficiency: 99.9999% parallel, 99.9993 serial 7) Dark Signal at 293K: 1000 e-/pixel/s typical 2000e-/pixel/sec maximum. 8) Format: 128 minimum to 256 maximum horizontal rows X 512 minimum to 1024 maximum vertical columns. 9) Pixel readout frequency: 20kHz to at least 5MHz. 10) Zero light emitting output amplifier 11) Readout noise at 233K, 20kHz, correlated double sampling<- 6e- 12) Blue channel CCDs optimized for maximum quantum efficiency (QE) in the wavelength range from 345nm (QE minimum 65%) to 595nm (QE minimum 50%). 13) Red Channel CCDs optimized for maximum quantum efficiency in the wavelength range from 345nm (QE minimum 90%) to 865nm (QE minimum 50%). 14) Science or grade O devices: a) zero column defects, black or slipped b) zero white column defects c) maximum 12 black spots (pixels where QE is less than 80% of the mean) d) Maximum 1 trap >200e-@233K e) Maximum 20 white spots (pixels where the dark signal is 100 times the typical 1000 e-/pixel/sec) 15) Engineering or grade 1 devices: a) Maximum 2 column defects, black or slipped b) zero white column defects c) maximum 25 black spots (pixel where QE is less than 80% if the mean) d) Maximum 2 traps > 200 e- @ 233K e) Maximum 30 white spots (pixels where the dark signal is 100 times the typical 1000 e-/pixel/sec)

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
