Mortgage Fraud

As part of its responsibilities, OFHEO oversees the reporting of actual or suspected mortgage fraud (as defined in the OFHEO regulation) by the Enterprises. As part of its oversight responsibilities on the safe and sound operation of the Enterprises, OFHEO collects information to assure that adequate internal controls and systems exist to protect the Enterprises from risks associated with such fraud.

In May 2006, OFHEO and FinCEN Signed an Agreement to Share Mortgage Fraud Data
