High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center Office
The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center Office
provides leadership in the labs Mission Operations and Data Analysis Activities. The HEASARC supports the use, by the broadest possible community, of
astrophysics data through guest observer programs, data analysis software, instrument calibration, multi-mission standards, and archive access. The
Office is responsible for the High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Center (HEASARC),
Legacy Archive for Microwave Background Data Analysis (LAMBDA), and dedicated science support facilities for
individual missions. Data from these and older missions are also included with future mission
data added as appropriate. The Office is also responsible for administering the guest observer programs for current astrophysics missions.
The Office contains the following organizations (links leave this site):
-
HEASARC - The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center
Science Support Centers
Information is available for the recently completed ASCA,
BeppoSAX,
Compton GRO, EUVE,
and ROSAT missions although their support
centers are closed. Data and documentation for these and older missions such as EXOSAT, OSO
8, HEAO 1, the Einstein Observatory, and BBXRT, are available from the HEASARC.
