Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to Announce a Joint Vision: Secure Borders and Open Doors in the Information AgeSecretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff will announce a joint vision to enhance border security while streamlining security processes and facilitating travel for visitors to the United States. The event will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Dean Acheson Auditorium at the U.S. Department of State’s Harry S Truman Building, located at 2201 C St. NW, Washington, DC.
This event is open to all press, from the 23rd Street Entrance.

Media representatives attending this event must present one of the following: (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from his or her employer on letterhead verifying employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
