U.S. Visas - Lebanese Citizens

  • Embassy Beirut is temporarily closed, for all visa applications, interviews and processing.
  • U.S. Embassy Athens will begin visa processing for Lebanese citizens as follows:
  • Beginning August 1, Lebanese citizens applying for F, H, J, L, M O, or P nonimmigrant visas can schedule interview appointments through the Embassy Athens website or, if they are in Greece, through the user-pays call center at 90-11-230-730.
  • Beginning August 1, Lebanese citizens who have an immigrant petition approved for them, and are awaiting interview should address their inquiries to U.S. Embassy Athens, via e-mail at Athens-IV-Lebanon@state.govImportant note before contacting Embassy Athens:  Can Embassy Athens assist regarding your immigrant case? Your case must be ready for interview and processing. If your approved petition is numerically limited (has a priority date), your case must be current (priority date is reached) for visa processing. Additionally, any necessary case processing must already be completed by the National Visa Center, and you must have been notified that the next step is interview by Embassy Beirut (now closed). If you can answer "yes" for these items, please proceed to email Embassy Athens to inquire about processing your immigrant visa case.
  • If you have already applied for your immigrant visa at Embassy Beirut, you may inquire via e-mail at Athens-IV-Lebanon@state.gov  about whether your case can be transferred to Athens for processing.
