Santa Rosa Campus Testing Schedule
Appointment and Drop-In scheduling options are available at the Santa Rosa Campus. To make an appointment contact Assessment & GED Services at (707) 527-4661. Also, Drop-In is available with no appointment necessary (seating is limited.) We recommend you arrive early as latecomers will not be admitted after the test begins. Placement Tests are administered in Plover Hall.

Your success in college is very important to everyone at Santa Rosa Junior College. Placement tests will help determine the right place for you to begin your studies at SRJC. You should take the placement tests early in your college career to give you and your counselor valuable information about your skills in English, math and chemistry, so you may develop the best plan for achieving your educational goals.

Who should take the placement tests?
All new college students are encouraged to take the placement tests before seeing a counselor. The results will be helpful in determining the appropriate level classes in many disciplines.

You must take the appropriate test if you plan to register in an English, math, chemistry or English as a Second Language course. If you have completed college English, math or chemistry courses you are not required to take the placement tests, but they may be helpful in determining the best placement for you in SRJC courses.

What does my placement score mean?
The test results indicate the highest level in which you can register. The level of English and math that you must complete depends on your educational goal. Students planning to transfer to a university or four year college to earn a bachelor's degree will have to complete higher level English and math classes. Test results are available the next business day.
