What is IPMLouisiana?

IPMLouisiana is the Integrated Pest Management program of the LSU AgCenter.  It is a comprehensive pest management program involving elements of plant pathology, entomology and weed science.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a sustainable approach to managing pests by combining biological, cultural, physical and chemical tools in a way that minimizes economic, health and environmental risks.

The goals of IPM are to achieve the effective management of pests in the safest manner.

This guide for 2008 contains suggestions for management of the most important or more prevalent diseases of Louisiana plants. It includes information on fungicides, bactericides and nematicides, as well as safety precautions for using them.
