University of Southern California shares new publication, "You Want to be an IRB Community Member...Now What?" was highlighted in the October 2007 issue of IRB Advisor with an expected print date in early 2008. Because we are perfectionists, we just now completed this effort and are pleased to announce that it is FINALLY ready for distribution.

At present we will only be distributing this booklet in hard copy via US mail although in several months we will post on our website. Please send your request with mailing information and to oprs@usc.edu and USC/OPRS will mail you a copy.

Ensuring Community-Level Research Protections
University of Washington shares new publication. Community-Campus Partnerships for Health announces new publication, Ensuring Community-Level Research Protections, based on the recent six-part Educational Conference Call Series on Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and Ethical Issues in Research co-sponsored in partnership with the Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care. The report is intended as a resource and discussion piece for a wide variety of groups interested in learning about community-level research protections from unique perspectives. Community-based organizations involved in research, community-institutional research partnerships, IRBs, research ethics boards and community advisory boards will be especially interested in this report.
