FDA FUNDS COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS ON FOOD SAFETY
In Fiscal Year (FY) 1998, FDA funded seven (7) cooperative agreements under the President’s Food Safety Initiative. These projects may be funded for up to two or three years depending on progress and the availability of funds. In the April 16, 1998, Federal Register, FDA announced the availability of these research funds to study the microbiological hazards associated with the food animal production environment, which includes animal feeds.
