Sigma Xi Center

The Sigma Xi Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, is the new home of one of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world. Built in 2003 and formally opened in April 2004, the Sigma Xi Center houses the Society's program and administrative offices, including the editorial and pre-press production offices of its award-winning magazine, American Scientist. The new building also features a multipurpose conference facility.

Sigma Xi gratefully acknowledges the financial support of members and friends who helped to make the Center a reality. These supporters are listed on the Sigma Xi Center Honor Roll of Donors.

The Hall of Honor in the Sigma Xi Center commemorates the 200 members who have received the Nobel Prize.

The Society's programmatic focus includes five key areas: science and engineering education, research ethics, public understanding of science, international research cooperation and the health of the research enterprise.
