Food Storage Warehouses
Food storage warehouses in Louisiana range in size and scope from mini-storages storing coffee products and snacks for vending machines to huge grocery-chain food storage facilities with refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage areas. Regulations governing the storage of food and food-contact materials (cups, lids, et cetera) are found in Part VI of Title 51 of the Louisiana Administrative Code. Food salvagers, any person or firm who sorts, repacks, relabels, or otherwise restores to saleable condition foods that have been misbranded and/or adulterated or damaged as defined by LSA R.S. 40: §601 et seq., are also governed by these regulations.
