Subject: [franklin-users] Franklin quad core upgrade phase 4 starts on next Friday, Oct 17, with extended down time

Dear Franklin users, Franklin quad core upgrade phase 4 will start on next Friday, October 17. An extended down time has been scheduled from Friday, Oct 17, 7:30 am to Sunday, Oct.19, 6 pm PDT. When the system comes back, it will have 34,520 quad cores (16,168 more cores than phase 3b) available to the users. There will be no more dual core compute nodes available in phase 4.
