Gentlemen              :
                                        Re: Docket No. 98P-0151/CP

I am writing to ask you to grant petition 98PP-0151/CP1 to prohibit the slaughter of  downed animals.

Animals too sick to even stand up should not enter our food supply.  What if they had Mad Cow Disease?

The meat industry should not be allowed to make  the last farthing on animals when it involves such suffering.  Downed animals should be humanely euthanised and they should not even be brought to the slaughter house.
