To Whom It May Concern:

Please grant petition 98P-0151/CP1, the "Downed Animal Protection Act." 
 This act will require humane euthanasia of animals that have arrived in 
the worse conditions at the slaughterhouse, and will prevent the spread of 
disease and the profit from these unfortunate animals.  The public will 
also be protected, since these cruel practices of can sometimes wind up 
putting the meat back into the food supply, if the trail becomes 
complicated enough.
