CHOS - CHROOT OS

CHOS is a framework for concurrently running multiple Linux environments (distributions) on single node. This is accomplished through a combination of the chroot system call, a Linux kernel module, and some additional utilities. It can be configured so that users are transparently presented with their selected distribution on login.

Downloads

The current release of CHOS is 0.03. It is still considered beta. Here are links for downloading. The RedHat 9 kernels have several 2.6 back ports. Here is a patch to fix CHOS for those kernels. In the future we should have this integrated into the package.
