Subject: MATLAB and MATHEMATICA now available on DaVinci and Jacquard

Dear NERSC users, MATHEMATICA 5.2 and MATLAB 7.0.2.R14 have been installed on the new shared-memory computer, DaVinci and the new Linux Networx supercomputer, Jacquard. For information on these math application, please see: http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/resources/software/apps/math/matlab/ http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/resources/software/apps/math/mathematica/ Since the math server, Newton is planned to be decommisioned on September 30, 2005, users are encouraged to migrate to DaVinci and/or Jacquard to use such math applications. DaVinci is intended to be the primary analytics platform at NERSC. It has 192 GB of shared-memory, and no interactive limits.
