Delegation of Authority
Biomass Research and Development Act of 2000, As Amended
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this memorandum is to delegate authority within the Department to implement the provisions of the Biomass Research and Development Act of 2000, as amended (7 USC 8601 et seq.), herein referred to as “BRDA.”
2. DELEGATIONS
I hereby delegate authorities vested in the Secretary by BRDA to the Under Secretary for Rural Development for implementation of BRDA for fiscal year 2008 funding activities and for all prior year post-award activities. The Under Secretary for Rural Development will be the point of contact referenced in BRDA for the Department.
3. EFFECTIVE DATE AND TERMINATION
This delegation is effective immediately and will remain in effect through September 30, 2008, or until such earlier time as the Department’s published delegation of authority has been amended to incorporate the provisions of this memorandum.
