Chu Confirmation ProgressesNobel Physicist for Energy Secretary Courtesy of LBNL Nobel Laureate (1997) and LBNL Head Steven Chu appeared before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee where he was welcomed by Democrats and Republicans. Committee chairman, Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., concluded the hearing by saying that he would do all that he could to see that Chu's confirmation is assured.
