Sandia is committed to being world-wide gatherers of technology applicable to our missions, to strategic partnerships including those with foreign entities, and to collaboration with other government laboratories domestic and foreign.
International partnerships, while potentially beneficial, can present significant risks. Any partnership must be in the interest of the nation, the Department of Energy, the laboratory and the partner. In the case of international partnerships, additional scrutiny is warranted to assure that the partnership is in the best interests of the nation. The laboratories cannot enter into any partnership that may, in any way, compromise national security, national policy, or national economic interests.
