Celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama and the birth of Martin Luther King Jr. as African Art explores leadership and the arts

Exhibitions of traditional art and factory-printed cloth, Kenyan artworks showcasing the homeland of Obama's father, contemporary African artwork, lectures and a self-guided treasure hunt focus on the theme of leadership.

The National Museum of African Art is launching a blog that is intended to tell the story of an exhibition, Artists in Dialogue: António Ole and Aimé Mpane. We extend an open invitation to readers and anyone you think might be interested to engage the curator, the artists, the museum, and other contributers in dialogue - the hopefully open but often complicated exchange of words, ideas, and images.

Please visit and contibute to the Artists in Dialogue blog.
