Library Content Questions back to top
  • How do I find online journals?
    • we recommend using the Online Journals link located on the navigation menu on the left side of the Library's web pages
    • you can bookmark favorite journals in your web browser
    • more information about vendor restrictions, acquiring articles to journals, and setting up alerts can be found on our journals page
  • How do I find SAND reports?
    • Information about searching for SAND reports can be found the Library's Reports page
    • A comprehensive way to find SAND reports is through the Online Catalog link located on the navigation menu on the left side of the Library's web pages. From there you can search by the report number (if known), title, keyword, or author (or any combination)
    • If you are positive a report exists, but are not having any luck, then send a request to librpts@sandia.gov with all the information you know about the report and the Technical Library Reports Management Team will research it for you
  • How do I suggest that the Library purchase additional content or resources?
    • If you are offering a project and task for the Library to procure a book for the Library's circulating collection, then please send the information (P/T, title, author) to libdoc@sandia.gov
    • If you are interested in funding site wide access to an online resource, email libecontent@sandia.gov with the resource and we will obtain a rough estimate for you. We manage several customer-funded subscriptions currently. Customers are always asked each year whether they wish to continue the financial support of the content.
    • If you wish to request that the Library consider an addition to the content and resources that it manages, please send the information (title, author, publisher, estimated cost, intended audience) to libecontent@sandia.gov. Please note that there are limited funds for the content the Library manages. To add new content generally means that other content will need to be discontinued. The period whereby the Technical Library and the Library Board review the current content and proposed additions is in the April-May timeframe of each year.
  • Who do I call if I am having access problems to online resources?
    • Check the Library's home page for known outages
    • Send an e-mail to libecontent@sandia.gov and provide as much detail as you can about the problem. This account is checked frequently throughout the day and you will get a response
