Fire Management Hotline Logo Santa Fe National Forest Fire Information Hotline
The Santa Fe National Forest has implemented a toll-free number, 1-877-971-FIRE (3473), designed to share information with the public about their Fire Management program. The public may call this toll-free number daily to hear pre-recorded messages about Prescribed Fires, Fire Use Fires, Wildfires, and Wildfire Prevention Tips. Click here for more information.
   
Red Flag Program Red Flag Warning Program
As part of an interagency effort to inform the public about fire conditions, federal and state agencies will be flying red flags at their offices and recreation sites whenever the National Weather Service issues a ‘Red Flag Warning’ for the area. The flags will forewarn the public of imminent or actual weather conditions that are favorable to wildfires and serve as reminders that extreme caution should be exercised when working outdoors or visiting recreation sites. Smokey Bear Coloring Sheet Smokey Bear Coloring Page
A National Prevention Team working on the Cibola National Forest is trying to get the word out to kids this summer about fire danger. They produced a coloring page with Smoky Bear reminding kids to be aware of fire restrictions while they’re exploring the great outdoors this summer.
