Global Environmental Health Priorities

NCEH/ATSDR's international work addresses cross-cutting environmental health challenges facing the world today and the world of the future. NCEH/ATSDR’s global environmental health priorities are Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene and Emergency Preparedness. These priorities were selected by NCEH/ATSDR’s Global Environmental Health Council made up of representatives from each Division and the Office of Global Health. The Council strategically selected Center priorities that draw upon existing expertise, lend themselves to strong intra- and inter-agency partnerships, and respond to the most pressing challenges in global environmental health.

NCEH/ATSDR's international work also serves CDC's global health goals of health promotion, health protection, and health diplomacy.
