The IEEE provides learning opportunities within the engineering sciences, research and broadly, technology. The goal of the IEEE education programs is to ensure the growth of skill and knowledge among the technical profession and to foster individual commitment to continuing education among IEEE members, the engineering and scientific community, and the general public.

IEEE Continuing Education Offerings

In the IEEE, education occurs at many levels. Educational Activities offers educational opportunities such as IEEE Expert Now, the Education Partners Program, and Education about Standards. IEEE Technical Societies offer tutorials and short courses at conferences. Sections and Chapters sponsor short courses and talks at meetings. At the Institute level, the IEEE Web site provides access to a wide range of courses and other educational activities available through the Internet. Learn more

IEEE Accreditation

Accreditation is the means by which students, professionals, government bodies, and the general public know that a program or institution provides a quality education. The IEEE carries out the accreditation process with the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) for U.S. engineering and engineering technology programs. The IEEE also participates in international accreditation activities. Learn more
