TVA To Close One Lane of U.S. Highway 62 Across Kentucky Dam

GRAND RIVERS, Ky. -- Traffic crossing TVA’s Kentucky Dam on U. S. Highway 62 will be restricted to one lane from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 31, for a bridge inspection.

In the event of inclement weather, the schedule may be extended. TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self- financing. TVA provides power to large industries and 158 power distributors that serve approximately 8.7 million consumers in seven southeastern states. TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
