TVA Regional Resource Stewardship Council To Meet in Knoxville

The Regional Resource Stewardship Council will meet Oct. 9-10 in Knoxville to hear views and advice on TVA’s strategy for enforcement of violations involving encroachments on TVA-managed land and a strategy for managing recreation land.

TVA staff will also update the council on TVA’s Environmental Policy. The RRSC was established to advise TVA on its natural resource stewardship activities.

The council will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, in the West Tower Auditorium of TVA’s Knoxville Office Complex, 400 W. Summit Hill Drive. Council meetings are open to the public.

A public comment period will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10. Anyone wanting to make comments at the meeting may register online or may register at the door by 9 a.m.

Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to no more than five minutes. Up to an hour will be allotted for public comments with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis. Hand-out materials should be limited to one printed page.
