Weather Synopsis:
Moisture in place across Utah will allow for isolated valley and scattered mountain showers and thunderstorms statewide today and across northern Utah Saturday. Upper low off the northern California coast will move inland today bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to western Idaho late today and spread across the state Sat for cool, showery weather. Ahead of this low south winds will increase across southern Utah today and Sat. Another trough follows early next week for continued cool, unsettled weather across Idaho and northern Utah. By mid week the air mass should begin to dry out as a ridge builds across the southwest US.
High Risk Days
At least a 20% chance of "Large Fire" due to combination of either "Dry" or "Very Dry" fuel dryness and an Ignition Trigger.  High Risk Days will include a symbol indicating the type of trigger event.
At least a 20% chance of "Large Fire" due to combination of either "Dry" or "Very Dry" fuel dryness and a Critical Burn Environment.  High Risk Days will include a symbol indicating the type of trigger event.
High Risk Events
Fuels / Fire Potential Discussion:
Critical Burn Environment
Significant fire potential is fairly low regionwide, but with ongoing dry and warm conditions, a problem fire is not out of the question today across Idaho or western Utah. However, with upcoming cool, showery weather, this remaining large fire potential should decrease for the next week.
W Windy - Wind gusts 25mph or greater.
Ignition Trigger
~ Lightning - LALs of 3 or higher.
