(Boca Raton, FL) On Sunday, January 11th and Monday, January 12th Congressman Robert Wexler will hold district events, including delivering speeches at three Israel Solidarity Rallies to support Israel’s efforts in Gaza to defend itself amid continuing rocket attacks and hosting a county-wide summit to discuss and forge solutions to the worsening budget crisis affecting South Florida non-profits due to the international economic crisis. Wexler Supports Israel's Right to Self Defense |
Urges International Community to Condemn Deadly Hamas Rocket Attacks
(Washington, DC) Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL), a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee in the United States Congress, released the following statement regarding the government of Israel’s ongoing military efforts in the Gaza strip. Wexler supports the government of Israel’s efforts to prevent Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terrorist organizations from launching rockets and mortars into Israel. Over 4,000 Qassam rockets and mortars have been launched by Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations into Southern Israel since the government of Israel’s disengagement from Gaza in 2005.
“I strongly support Israel’s right to self-defense in response to the continuous deadly rocket and mortar attacks launched by Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations into Israel. Americans stand shoulder to shoulder with the Israeli people during this difficult time and strongly condemn Hamas’ perpetrated terrorism,” said Wexler. “Instead of using violence and extremism to achieve its destructive goals, Hamas must adhere to the international principles established by the Quartet, including ending terrorism, recognition of Israel, and acceptance of previous agreements and obligations.”

2009 Inauguration Information |

Congressman Wexler's office is unfortunately unable to grant any more requests for tickets to the 2009 presidential inauguration. Congressman Wexler's office received less than 200 tickets to distribute while receiving over 10,000 requests for tickets. If you have already submitted a request for tickets, calling the office is not necessary. You will receive a notification email by December 18, 2008 if your request has been granted. Tickets are not able to be mailed. If you receive a ticket you will be given instructions on how to pick up the ticket on January 19, 2009 in Washington, DC. If you did not receive a ticket, you may still come to Washington, DC and witness the inauguration of President-elect Obama.
