Michele's Corner

The Future of TARP Yesterday, we learned that the Senate approved the use of the second half of $700-billion financial service sector bailout funds. They did so on the assumption that the Obama administration will know how to use these funds better than Bush Administration has. There's even been a lot of talk around Washington that President-elect Obama's Treasury Secretary nominee, Timothy Geithner, is the only one who could figure this out. He apparently has had problems remember to pay his taxes, but the Senate appears ready to believe that he has the right stuff to get the financial service sector back in gear.
