ABOUT UCTV
DOWNLINK INFORMATION

UCTV is a non-commercial, "free-to-air" satellite channel, broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

UCTV is available for retransmission via:

Dish Network, Channel 9412
C-Band satellite

In order to retransmit UCTV via Dish Network or C-Band, please select the appropriate option below to access the necessary registration form.

One-Time Downlink, Non Retransmission Form
Please complete this form if you represent an institution (educational, medical, etc.) that would like to downlink UCTV for a specific program to be viewed internally, but not for retransmission on a television channel.

Cable Retransmission
Please complete the appropriate form below if you represent a cable operator or a local, non-commercial cable channel that would like to retransmit UCTV programming. Please make sure to provide ALL contact information, hours/days you would like to broadcast UCTV, cable system, household reach, and any other relevant information. UCTV's Communications Manager will contact you once the form has been submitted.

UCTV does require that affiliate channels transmit its signal live as it comes off the satellite. This insures that UCTV's promotional efforts at the local level, including in your market, are consistent with its national promotions. This also preserves the utility and accuracy of UCTV's extensive on-line program schedule.

UCTV programs in 3 hour thematic program blocks. Although there is no "minimum air time" requirement, we suggest that you utilize these program blocks when incorporating UCTV into your local schedule. (View the 24-hour Program Grid.)

If you have any questions, please contact UCTV's Communications Manager, Alison Gang at (858) 822-5060.

Dish Network Retransmission Form
UCTV is available on all DISH Network programming packages, including DishFamily. It is offered as part of the service's public interest channel line-up, which is mandated by the FCC. Make sure to request UCTV when you order your DISH Network service! Information about DISH Network's commercial service is available here or call them directly at (800) 454-0843.

C-Band Satellite Cable Retransmission Form
Once this form is completed and submitted, you will recieve the satellite coordinates for UCTV's signal.

Please note: UCTV's C-Band signal is an MPEG-2 digital stream (Tiernan DVB encoding), which means you must have a digital receiver/decoder to successfully downlink our programming. The Pansat 2700A is a recommended low-cost model available from Skyvision (1-800-500-9275 or www.skyvision.com).
