Tracking Healthy People 2010 is part of the Healthy People 2010 initiative that is coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Overall responsibility for planning and developing the content of the volume rested with the Division of Health Promotion Statistics (DHPS), Office of Analysis, Epidemiology, and Health Statistics (OAEHP), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, under the direction of Diane K. Wagener and Richard J. Klein. Substantive review comments were received from Jennifer H. Madans, Acting Director, OAEHP, and Associate Director for Science, National Center for Health Statistics, and Deborah R.
