The FBCI pairs the resources of government with the unique strengths of local faith-based and community-based organizations to address multiple human services needs. Over the past 7 years, the Centers for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives at the various Federal agencies and the White House have worked to focus the effort of this partnership to address challenging human needs.  At times, these efforts have targeted some of the hardest challenges within each of these community needs, including:
