FDA Consumer Affairs Staff

The Consumer Affairs Staff of FDA’s Office of Communication, Education, and Radiation Programs (OCER) is responsible for answering breast implant calls from consumers and distributing the breast implant handbook.

To receive a copy of the breast implant handbook, please call 1-888-463-6332. When prompted, press 2, press 1, press 4, press 1, and then 4. You will be prompted to leave contact information, and a Consumer Affairs Specialist will respond within 48 hours. The breast implant handbook may also be obtained by visiting FDA’s website at http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/breastimplants.

The Consumer Affairs Staff at OCER is available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Eastern Time. To contact the Consumer Affairs Staff, use one of the following options:
