Specialty Crops
NFU believes that Congress should provide a safety net program to allow producers to earn cost of production plus a reasonable profit from the marketplace for specialty crops including fruits, vegetables, and seafood.
The Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association and the Cape Cod Hook Fishermen’s Association have recently become affiliate members of NFU. We are working to pioneer the relationship between those that farm the land, and those that farm the sea to produce an abundant supply of local, family-produced food. We look forward to future alliances with specialty crop growers and producers.
