Funding Opportunities

IRP-USDA Research, Innovation, and Development Grants in Economics (RIDGE) Program (formerly Small Grants)

The Institute for Research on Poverty and the Economic Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture sponsor a competition that provides small grants for research on food insecurity and food assistance programs.

    Visiting Scholars

Each year the Institute sponsors a small number of U.S.-based visiting scholars who are invited to give a seminar, to work on their own projects, and to confer with an IRP adviser, who arranges for interchange with other IRP affiliates.

    IRP Visitors Program

Each year the Institute hosts a small number of faculty, researchers, and policy analysts, who interact with IRP Affiliates and other scholars on campus and participate in campus events.
