Ag Programs
The owner-operated family farm is the keystone of a strong America. These family farms are now being challenged as large, corporate farms spread across the countryside. NFU believes the decline in the number of family-sized commercial farms must be reversed.
America’s farm policy should enable farmers to significantly increase net farm income, improve the quality of rural life, and increase the number of family farmers, so that they may continue to provide a reliable supply of food and fiber and serve as stewards of our nation’s resources.
We are committed to working toward innovative approaches that move beyond the parameters of past farm programs and seek to bridge philosophical differences within the agriculture community and our nation’s political structures.
